About Us - David Blevins, Vice President and Project Manager.
Mr. Blevins joined the Company in January 2006 and is the Vice President & General Manager for Nations Petroleum companies in South East Asia. In this capacity he is responsible for managing the Company’s South East Asia assets including Brunei and Indonesia exploration, new business development, and commercial activity. Prior to his current position, Mr. Blevins served the Company as Vice President and Project General Manager of JSC Karazhanbasmunai in Kazakhstan. Prior to joining Nations Petroleum, David Blevins has an exceptional history of more than 30 years in the oil and gas industry with Amoco Production Company and British Petroleum (BP) serving in various engineering, operational and drilling managerial roles. Mr. Blevins and lived and worked in various international locations including Egypt, Trinidad, Kazakhstan, Russia and Indonesia. In 2003 he held the position of Director of Wells and Capital Construction with TNK-BP in Moscow, Russia. With TNK-BP he provided the leadership and management of drilling, completion, sidetracking, workover and capital construction activity in Business Unit Samotlor located in western Siberia. Business Unit Samotlor in TNK-BP’s largest BU with annual spending on wells and construction of +$300 mm USD and production of ~600,000 bopd. In addition, he provided the leadership and supported the implementation of new technology in horizontal drilling, coil tubing interventions, hydraulic fracturing, various workover technologies pad and new field development plans and construction. Mr. Blevins graduated from the University of Wyoming in 1975 with a BS in Petroleum Engineering.
