About Us - Jeffrey Jones, Production Manager

Mr. Jones joined Nations California in 2007. Mr. Jones has spent over 30 years working in thermal recovery. Mr. Jones has had over 20 articles published on thermal Recovery, including writing the chapter on Enhanced Steam Recovery in the SPE Petroleum Engineers Handbook. In addition, he is the holder of four patents relating to oil recovery. Prior to Nations, Mr. Jones was a petroleum engineer with Berry Petroleum, where he helped design various steam flood projects for Berry. From 1997 to 2000 Mr. Jones was an Engineering Specialist with Texaco E&P in Bakersfield. While at Texaco, Mr. Jones invented an ultra-shallow oil recovery mechanism. From 1978 to 1997, Mr. Jones was an engineer with Santa Fe Energy Resources Inc. / Monterey Resources Inc. in Bakersfield where he worked on critical thermal projects in the Kern River area. Prior to Santa Fe Mr. Jones worked on various thermal EOR assignments in Midway Sunset and Kern River Fields for Chanslor Western Oil and Development Co. Mr. Jones is also active in the Society of Petroleum Engineers where he was awarded the prestigious Society of Petroleum Engineering Production Award in 2002. He also served as Program chairman of the 2008 SPE Western Regional Meeting.
